3 cfu

    Course Syllabus

Know the territory of the city where we reside. Being able to read the imago urbis reveals the reality that surrounds us and of which we are a fundamental part as well as increasing knowledge of the territory, achieving the ability to relate to the heritage to be protected and preserved is of primary importance in order to recover identities. historical and cultural aspects of our daily living. In the training course offered, importance is given to the technical-scientific sectors that concern the basic knowledge of the environment and the territory, with specific regard to the disciplines that deal with the collection of data with innovative techniques, which allow multiple applications at all scales, from the urban environment, to the vast area, from urban recovery to territorial enhancement. 3 credits
In particular, we study the probable forms of interpretation and analysis of the territory available to us in relation to the marks left by human activity. Highlighting the identity traits, peculiarities and criticalities, determined by the persistent dynamism of the territories, which characterize each territorial reality compared to others.
In the traditional landscape of the city, buildings and collective space are intimately connected since the architectural objects are not only themselves but create relational webs, interdependencies of systems, reciprocal and with users, making the urban form coincide with the structure of the social group that those architectures and those spaces live and inhabit. Only in this relationship does each object that is placed at different scales in the city show its ability to define
a space, create or modify it in terms of meaning.
The identification of local systems on the territory and their representation implies the possibility of representing, in the continuous urbanized, the discontinuous and inhomogeneous structure of a plurality of structured local identities, starting from the common experience of space.
The individual perception of the landscape therefore coexists, materially, with its function, codified, as a repertory of data, but also as a theater of the rules to be followed, for a perspective of sustainability. 3 credits
